While we want you to have fun and enjoy your stay, we do ask you follow the rules and read through the FAQ's:
Community and Cottage Notes
Check in is 5:00 p.m. or later.
Check out is 11:00 a.m. or earlier.
Absolutely NO parties or additional guests.
No loud noise before 8am and after 11pm.
Rental is for 6-8 people max (only guests on the contract are allowed to be on the property).
Be respectful to the neighbours and other users of the beach area
Do not adjust the thermostat (it is set on a timer).
Insects, rodents and wildlife are a part of cottage country. Please discourage them by keeping doors and screens closed. Do not feed them and do not leave any food left out, even if you go for a walk.
Don’t be surprised if there is a raccoon (or Bear) if you leave food out.
This home is in the country, so please don't be surprised if you see spiders, bats, mosquitos or the occasional mouse...
Please remember to take ALL items you brought with you when you leave. We are not responsible for lost items.

Items to Bring
Bring your own bedding (sheets, comforter, pillows): 1 queen bed in loft, bunks are single on top and double on the bottom, pull out couch is a double, toddler bed is crib size.
Bring your own towels for the beach and for showering (we provide hand/kitchen towels only).
Bring your own food. Water cooler is available for drinking; tap water is safe for cooking and showering.
Bring your own toiletries (we do provide hand/dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer).
Bring Life Jackets that fit the guests planning to use water toys. We provide 2 adult life jackets only.
Cleanliness, Recycling & Waste Disposal
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration in leaving the cottage (inside and out) clean, tidy and with all furniture/items provided in its original place.
We do have a cleaner in between guests that cleans/sanitize surfaces, mops the floor, and cleans the toilets/tubs/sinks, so we do not expect you to do these things.
We do provide a broom, dustpan, vacuum, paper towels, dish cloths and dish soap to assist you with keeping things tidy during your stay.
Please do not wear shoes inside.
Wipe off all table/counter tops and all kitchen appliances. If anything was spilled in the microwave, oven or on stove, please clean.
Empty fridge and wipe out.
Empty all garbage containers and recycling.
Never leave garbage outside.
Take ALL recycling and garbage when you leave – dump hours, pass and info is on the fridge, located at Elephant Lake Road and Loop Road – it’s worth a trip to see the bears!!! (failure to do so will result in forfeiting your deposit)
NO PETS (failure to do so will result in forfeiting your deposit)
NO SMOKING inside the cottage and please don’t leave cigarette butts anywhere outside (failure to do so will result in forfeiting your deposit). An Ashtray is provided and all butts must be taken to the dump with garbage upon departure.
Your deposit will not be refunded if any garbage/recycling is left, or there is evidence of pets or smoking (inside or out).
If any excessive cleaning is required after your departure it will be deducted from your deposit.
Washrooms & Septic System
Do not flush anything other than the provided septic safe toilet paper.
This includes NO kleenex, paper towel, tampons, diapers, cigarettes etc. being put down the toilet - we are on a septic and it will ruin/clog it.
Do not drive on the grass with your vehicle - it will damage the septic bed.
Barbeque
A full size propane barbeque is provided for use.
There are 2 propane tanks available - please let us know if you empty a tank so we can ensure it is filled before our next guests arrive.
Do not leave any food on the BBQ, and kindly brush it down after each use.
Never leave the BBQ unattended.
Always TURN OFF the propane tank after use.
If you are unsure how to use it, please just ask.
Woodstove / Fire Pit
Firewood is provided and can be found beside the shed.
Do not cut down trees on the property for firewood.
Please do not burn excessive amounts of wood unnecessarily.
Do not cut/split wood anywhere inside the cottage.
Please only have outdoor fires in the designated fire pit.
Do not overload fire pit / woodstove.
Make certain that the woodstove door is closed while fire is burning.
Do not leave woodstove or fire pit burning unattended.
Ensure woodstove and fire pit fires are completely put out before leaving them.
If you do not know how to use the woodstove, please do not use it, or ask for assistance.
Do not move fire wood or take any home to ensure enjoyment of all guests.
Booking Policy
A $500 deposit is due at the time of booking to guarantee your rental.
Full rental fees are due 1 month before your arrival.
Payments can be made via e-transfer.
Deposits are fully refunded by e-transfer within 10 days of checking out and upon satisfactory inspection.
Cancellations
Full refund, less a $50 administrative fee, if you need to cancel your stay with more than 1 months notice.
No refund will be provided if you are within 1 month of your arrival date.
No transfers of rental agreements to another person are allowed.
What if I book a cottage and the government puts a ban on short term rentals?
You will receive a 100% full refund of your fees and deposit if the government bans rentals.
How do I get the keys?
The house has a keyless entry pass code that is changed after each guest. You will be given the code 24-48 hours prior to your arrival date.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
We are on a well, and test the water twice a year. If the water is tested as unsafe, you will be notified prior to your stay. Most guests use the tap water for cooking/showering, and bring bottled water for drinking.
Do you offer discounts for returning guests?
Yes! Guests that rebook with us within 1 year of their last stay will receive a 10% discount. Please get in touch with us to rebook!
Is the Cell Service good?
Every cell company seems to have different service. There is Free Unlimited Wifi guests can connect to while visiting and are encouraged to turn on Wifi calling on their cell phones. We do not have a land line.
Is there a dock I can leave my motorized boat at?
Yes! There is a shared dock you can leave your motorized boat at. You will have to use the public boat launch (about 5 minute drive) to launch, but are welcome to leave your boat at our dock during your stay, which is a 2-3 minute walk from the cottage.
